I'd hazard a guess that the message about making sure youre signed in with the account that purchased it is due to it not letting you sign in at all.

I'd be curious if any others here that didn't download the games from the store and instead got them through this method are having problems. I assumed that because you downloaded the win 10 version from the store, it should retroactively count as having bought 8 as they are the same download directory on the MS servers.
